El Questro is dedicated to preserving Australia's unique ecology while thoughtfully developing new areas of interest and providing comprehensive visitor information. We aim to create unforgettable experiences for all visitors. When exploring the stunning gorges, lookouts, and water holes, it's essential to prioritize safety. Wear sturdy boots or, at the very least, sneakers to protect your feet. Ensure you carry a minimum of 2 litres of water per person to stay hydrated. Additionally, avoid starting hikes after 2 PM to prevent heat-related issues.

By following these guidelines, you can fully enjoy the natural beauty of El Questro while staying safe.

Once you have purchased the permit, show your confirmation at either the Kununurra Visitor Centre or El Questro - Emma Gorge or Station Reception to collect your permit card. The permit must be displayed on the windscreen of your vehicle at all times while you are visiting El Questro.

For season permit holders, a 10% discount is provided on accommodation at El Questro - Emma Gorge and the Station and on the purchase of onsite food and beverage items. Accommodation should be booked in advance with the El Questro team (not available for online bookings). The permit must be shown at check-in and when purchasing food and beverage items from our outlets for the discount to be applied.
